The Hiwassee Dam fire family extends its deepest condolences, prayers, and love to the family and friends of Alan Andrews of Murphy, NC. Mr. Andrews, the former chief of the Grape Creek Fire Department, passed away this evening after a courageous battle with cancer.

    It is incredibly sad to learn that Chief Andrews lost his battle with cancer, a loss that must be deeply felt by the entire Hiwassee Dam fire family.
